First of all, I have to give credit to ~spazzinsprite for the idea of the bleeding halo. Without that, this piece just wouldn't have come together nearly as well.
All in all, this turned out much better than I had anticipated. In the conceptual stages, I thought that it would be too plain, that there wasn't enough stuff in it. But now that it's done, I think that more stuff would've cluttered it and taken away from the power of the image. I actually did this piece for a friend of mine, who is *ahem* paying me for my services... ^_^ He's a really nice guy, and one of my first customers. He said that he wanted something with wings, and I had this image in my head already, so I just sketched it out. This one's for you, RJ. PS - Yes, I know that the hands at the bottom bear a striking resemblance to the fingers in Chained Beneath The Clouds, but they sort of kinda mean almost the same thing, except a different degree, and they have a whole bunch of different connotations than the fingers do. At least for me. www.LivingOxymoronArt.com Daily DeviationGiven 2004-11-28The Struggle between good and evil is an eternal one, because one can simply not exsist without the other. My motive is extremely simple. Observe and experiment, thats all. Thats what I live for, Everything in the world is my test subject. Of course, that includes me.

I agree, between the clouds and the details of the bones, anything else might have flawed the work.
The high-resolution is a bit unnecessary though. If you upload it at half that size it'll look better and load faster.
The shading on the scythe and the "flames" from the sword are especially nice.
Those hands must have taken a lot of patience!
